The Son is able to go out in the world and get married, so while portrayed as a bit ‘simple’, he is a functioning adult. The Mother isn’t upset about this particular woman for his wife, but rather ANY other woman in his life.

What was her game plan? When she passed naturally, her Son would be left without anyone to care for him. That didn’t bother her, but losing her son to another woman did.

Love this episode for so many reasons. How did I miss this one…nice choice! Side note, I’ll be vague as to not be a spoiler, but the script I found for Lights Out’s Meteor Man had a much nastier ending than the ending broadcast. I wonder how many scripts were so heavy that they were edited before recording? Thanks again for introducing me to another great episode and all your great discussion!!
