I thought this was unintentionally funny at times. Dude is told “don’t move the vase.” He reads a letter that says, “don’t move the vase.” He interviews someone who said, “Joe moved the vase and died, as did everyone else who moved the vase.” And then the narration is “So of course I moved the vase.”

I get that the vase had a “move me” power, but at that point in the story, it made me smile. Schmuck! Don’t move the vase!

And then he moves it and spooky supernatural stuff happens. So he’s all, “So then I put a coin under the vase and went up to where the noise was coming from.”

I loved this one, thank you for picking it! For some reason part of it reminded me of the stories in Japanese horror that have taped up doors that lead to evil, like the green vase is Japan’s red tape; and the groans, yikes!
“I know I will lift the vase” gave me chills. Plus the mention of “where the table and vase have LIVED for thirty years”. Just a creepy episode.

Your video game memories remind me of one I could never finish it because of a missing clue. UGH!
