Classic Suspense: I felt like Freiburger played fair with the setup and denouement. When Dan first meets Lois, after assessing her current lot in life, he decides she's not worth killing. He then goes about improving her lot, then has his revenge. There are certainly other ways you could have taken a story like this, but none would have been a true Suspense story.

Kudos to you three for keeping the art form green in our memories. Even better is that you are building a new audience as well. I was introduced to OTR by a fourth grade teacher, who closed the shades in the rooom and played us an Inner Sanctum LP. I then sought out OTR cassettes and LPs from the school and village library and never really stopped.

Eric, I'm intrigued by your love of the original Star Trek. I remember reading someone's assessment of how visual a TV series was, based of how well you could follow it with only audio. They compared Mission: Impossible and Star Trek. M:I was almost unintelligible, while Star Trek could be easily followed. That love of good intelligent dialogue is something that show shared with the best OTR writing. It may why both resonate with you.

Regarding favorite lines of the episode, I liked the opening lines: "When I stepped of the train at Grand Central I spotted Len Busch waiting for me. All the heat of my body sucked into my head. I knew that feeling - I felt that way every time I wanted to kill a man." A nice match for Lancaster's delivery.
