So good! The sound of guy after the hot coffee was thrown in his face was both horrible and delightful. I actually laughed out loud at his pain!

Also, no one is going to take legal advice from this show, but the owner is 100% correct. He has a right to refuse service to anyone (particularly at that time). More recently owners are not allowed to refuse service on the basis of a protected class. While the argument might be made that his appearance is a disability, it has not been legally qualified as one.

It was obvious the guy was trying to drive away business though. It might have been interesting if the faker had tried to play on his sympathy and note how hard it is to find a place to get service. But then it would be obvious the faker is trying to drive away other customers.

I would have been more interested if they had stuck with the (admittedly un-Suspense-like) psychological / philosophical drama of whether to continue serving the disfigured man who was driving away business.

While listening I thought that the frequent mention of ketchup was to give a clue to how the disfigured man looked. But I suspected this was a scheme to get the owner to sell his restaurant. I figured it out as soon as the guy walked into the diner.
