I, too, noticed similarities to <i>Quiet, Please</i>, but other than a slight bit of interest due to that, I otherwise agreed with Eric. This just plodded along slowly without building any tension or suspense, and there wasn’t enough of a payoff at the end to make it worthwhile. Maybe the can’t-really-call-it-a-twist-because-it-was-so-obvious-where-it-was-going ending might have been startling when the script was originally produced, but it certainly isn’t today (and I doubt that it was when this remake aired). It wasn’t awful, but it does not stand the test of time (for me, at least — though I see that somebody voted it a timeless classic, so obviously opinions can vary — although seeing that “timeless classic” vote may have startled me more than anything in the episode did).
