This was interesting for the story structure; of starting with the capture and then going into the interrogation. However, it still follows the tried and true story format of, criminal denies a little at first, then spills guts and monologues. Would have been far more interesting if he had never broke.

However, the idea that Dragnet is actually presenting anything close to the truth is laughable. Of course evidence of a serial killer in LA matching the details in the story don't show up and it's disappointing to see the guys fall for this idea that Dragnet is giving a gritty, real version of 1950's life, instead of just a glamorized, propaganda.

Interesting enough though, Roof (the movie theater shooter) was bought a fast food sandwich while in police custody.
