The characters do act like real people. They are unbelievable vague about stuff going on, like what the lady stepped in, as to create suspense for the listener, but it seems really contrived.

In reply to Andy K. I humbly disagree, and I know the BBC version well: I like the way this version makes the key relationship slightly more believable. Might not be as faithful to the source, but I prefer this adaptation (apart from the Nughtfall music of course).

Love the show gentlemen. Even my wife has got into it especially through the banter following the shows.

but I have to say, it kills this Canuck every time you call CBC the Canadian Broadcasting Company instead of Corporation.
