The name of the actress who played the old lady (I believe that she also played the niece) is Peggy Webber. Webber is still alive and actually celebrated her 100th birthday just a few weeks ago.
I’m pretty sure that Webber played the niece also. When I heard the niece’s voice, I immediately pictured an actress from several episodes of the 1967-70 Dragnet TV series, and then had to do some Googling to find out her name. I could have saved some time if I’d just come here and read your comment first! 🙂
