I’d say that was more fun than good . . . but sometimes that’s exactly what you want! I didn’t think he was dead the whole time. If he was, what makes him fall over and be more dead? (Was it the Lipton tea???)

More fun than good is an apt description. The story falls to pieces under any real scrutiny, but thanks to the intensity of the individual scenes (not to mention the comedy of Mr. Host and Mary), it keeps you entertained from beginning to end. Well, almost to the end. There’s no reading of that final graveyard twist that makes any sense.

I loved this one. The first twist (It wasn’t supernatural – it was HE who was doing the killing!) genuinely surprised me. At the commercial break – I thought it was over (“Wow! That was a really short episode!”) If you think about it – that could have been an ending point. The tension throughout the episode was real for me – it all worked. I’m with the MORLS crew as liking this one as Inner Sanctum has always been enjoyable for me. The sardonic humor in the story and intro just works for me. There was a bit of a letdown after Howard tells the psychiatric doctor about his dream where Marie’s mother and the doctor didn’t want him to leave the Sanitarium, a reference which placed them together which amounted to nothing later but could maybe have made the story more interesting or provided a twist.
