Josh made a poignant joke at about 48:50 that Tim and Eric didn’t get. My wife and I thought it was funny and wanted to hug him. I TOTALLY did not expect the old guy to come back at the end. It caught me completely by surprise.

Late to the party here, but I wanted to throw out the possibility that “Beezer” isn’t a ghost at all. Marlene even suggests that there may be no ghosts, but there are “things that come up out of the ground.” The name Beezer is suggestive of Beelzebub, and the old boy seems to have a strong interest in punishing murderers.
