When they were talking about the smell of flypaper, and how only the stupid ones get caught, I really thought they were more going to focus on that; showing us some scenario where a person was lured into a tangle foot like trap by some supernatural higher force. I was a bit disappointed.
Further, this story highlights my one problem with the Thing On The Fourble Board: there’s no foreshadowing to the ending. There’s no indication that the narrator was the kind of person to fall into this obsession and villainy. It just seems to not make sense.
