I think the dialogue Eric was trying to remember at the end was:
“How do you do, Miss Matson? Allow me to introduce myself.”
“Allowed.”

I would be delighted if Monty Masters used the [historical figure known by a single name] [common last name] template in other episodes that featured people in Rembrandt Watson’s circle.

Having grown up on the West Coast, and being a bit of sport history buff, I can inform you the San Francisco Seals were part of the Pacific Coast League in the 50’s along with such luminous minor league teams as the Seattle Raniers, Portland Beavers, Oakland Oaks and Hollywood Stars. Far from a semi-pro team, the Seals produced some exceptional talent. including Joe DiMaggio.
