It’s Halloween and we’ve got one more ghost story to share before the end of the night! Our final haunted tale for the month is “The Three Ghosts” from The Shadow! Orson Welles stars in this tale of a wealthy wife tormented by a spectral presence. However, the Shadow suspects the alleged ghost hides a plot to murder her for her money!  How will this earlier incarnation of the character deal out justice? I lost track of the number of times I listened to this episode (and all the Welles-era ones) as a kid and young adult. I wouldn’t say any era is my favorite but these early, pulpy episodes come close.

I’ve only heard a couple episodes from the Australian version of The Shadow but those ones are great too.

I’m glad you finally played an episode with the _proper_ Shadow, and this is one of my favorites. And I’m glad that Eric has finally seen the light (so to speak) regarding Orson Welles as The Shadow.
