In this story, the police get their hands on a suspected murderer and lock him in a cell— a cell that is allegedly occupied by the ghost of an executed felon! There in the dark, this prisoner must confront both a disembodied voice and his own guilt. Can he avoid the horrors of a final judgment? What kind of legal system works like this? Well, Willis Cooper definitely got better. I, too, noticed similarities to <i>Quiet, Please</i>, but other than a slight bit of interest due to that, I otherwise agreed with Eric. This just plodded along slowly without building any tension or suspense, and there wasn’t enough of a payoff at the end to make it worthwhile. Maybe the can’t-really-call-it-a-twist-because-it-was-so-obvious-where-it-was-going ending might have been startling when the script was originally produced, but it certainly isn’t today (and I doubt that it was when this remake aired). This episode was boring and didn’t really have a twist. Maybe if it looked like the the guy was going to get off or not die, it would have been surprising.
